A draft copy of the 2024-2028 Township Parks & Recreation Plan will be available for public review and comment for a period of 30 days, beginning on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. The plan can be reviewed in person at the Leroy Township Office, 8156 4 Mile Road, East Leroy, MI 49051, between the hours of 9:00AM and 4:30PM, Tuesday-Thursday (the Township Office will be closed on November 22nd and 23rd). The Plan can also be reviewed here.
The Plan is a guide to park and recreation development over the next 5 years and is a requirement of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources which will allow the Township to apply for State and Federal funding for park and recreation improvements.
Anyone wishing to make a comment during the 30 day review period may do so in writing, via letter or email. Written comments should be sent to: Laveta Hardish, Leroy Township Supervisor, 8156 4 Mile Road, East Leroy, Michigan 49051, or emailed to: supervisor@leroytownship.org.
The Township Board of Trustees will be conducting a Public Hearing on this proposed plan and possibly adopting it at a public meeting held on TUESDAY, DECEMBER 19th at 6:00PM.
