Parks & Rec. Master Plan Public Hearing

6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

A draft copy of the 2024-2028 Township Parks & Recreation Plan will be available for public review and comment for a period of 30 days, beginning on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.  The plan can be reviewed in person at the Leroy Township Office, 8156 4 Mile Road, East Leroy, MI 49051, between the hours of 9:00AM and 4:30PM, Tuesday-Thursday (the Township Office will be closed on November 22nd and 23rd). The Plan can also be reviewed on the Township website homepage.

The Plan is a guide to park and recreation development over the next 5 years and is a requirement of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources which will allow the Township to apply for State and Federal funding for park and recreation improvements.

Anyone wishing to make a comment during the 30 day review period may do so in writing, via letter or email.  Written comments should be sent to:  Laveta Hardish, Leroy Township Supervisor, 8156 4 Mile Road, East Leroy, Michigan 49051, or emailed to:  supervisor@leroytownship.org.

    Due to the passage of Proposal 22-2, you can now vote early and in-person for all federal and state elections.  Early In-Person Voting Sites are available beginning the second Saturday before Election Day and ending the Sunday before Election Day. For the August Primary Election, those dates are, July 27 - Aug. 4. 

    First, check to see if you're registered to vote and view a sample ballot on the State's site.  VISIT THE STATE'S VOTER SITE

    Then, identify where your Early In-Person Voting site is. Leroy Township residents go to Marshall to voting early.

    You may still visit your traditional polling location to vote on Election Day, as you may have done in the past.

    You can also vote early for the November General Election, Oct. 26 - Nov. 3, before Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
