November 5, 2024 General Election Coming Up

To the qualified electors of Leroy Township, in the County of Calhoun, State of Michigan:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. The polls of said election will be open at 7:00 a.m. and will remain open until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, located at Leroy Township Community Hall, 8146 4 Mile Road, East Leroy, phone (269) 979-9421.  Early voting will begin Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. and will be available to voters each day through Sunday, November 3, 2024.  Also, the Leroy Township Clerk’s Office will be open additional hours to be available to voters who wish to request an absentee ballot or residents who with to register to vote on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Monday, November 4, 2024 from Noon – 4:00 p.m.

For the purpose of voting on:
• President and Vice-President of the United States
• United States Senator
• Representative in Congress, 3rd District
• Representative in State Legislature, 62nd and 63rd Districts
• Member of the State Board of Education (2), Regent of the University of Michigan (2), Trustee of Michigan State University (2), Governor of Wayne State University (2)
• County Offices: Prosecuting Attorney, Sheriff, Clerk/Register of Deeds, Treasurer and Water Resources Commissioner, County Commissioner
• Township Offices: Supervisor, Clerk, Treasurer, & Trustee (2)
• Nonpartisan Judicial: Justice of Supreme Court (2 8-yr term position) Judge of Court of Appeals, 3rd District (2 Incumbent 6-yr term positions, 1 Incumbent partial term ending 1/01/2023 position)
Judge of 37th Circuit Court (1 Incumbent 6-yr term) Judge of 10th District Court (1 Incumbent 6-yr term, 1 Non-Incumbent 6-yr term, 1 Incumbent partial term ending 1/01/2023)
• Community College: Kellogg Community College (3 members, 6-yr terms) Kalamazoo Valley Community College (2 members 6-yr terms)
• School Board: Athens Area Schools (3 members, 4-yr terms)
